In 1994 the remaining buildings of the former monastery Lorsch have been announced a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With reference to this award the museum „Kloster Lorsch“ has been opened in 1995, which was meant to visualize pre- Romanesque ecclesiastical architecture, and especially the former greatness of the Abbey's ruins.
The museum management chose a virtual model of the monastery which can easily be adjusted to a changing state of research, because the original design of the site is still ambiguous today. I was asked to take responsibility for the reconstruction and elaboration of this project.
Based on the collected data a video animation was created which is shown daily as part of the exhibition.
